UPDATE SPRING 2021: COVID 19 INFORMATION
UPDATE FALL 2020:
Our 2021 trips and dates are currently online and until March 1st, we are offering flexible booking conditions. This means, you will be able to postpone or cancel your trip without incurring any costs, if necessary. We also are looking into the option of carrying rapid Covid tests on board to be able to test anyone within 15 minutes for a peace of mind. In general, we hope vaccination is well under way by June 2021 along with easy access to Covid testing prior to your travels. And, as always, we will adhere to our quality hygiene practices for dish washing, hand sanitizing, and keeping the bus/equipment clean.
There are many advantages of having small group tours, and in these days of Covid-19, that is more important than ever keeping our staff and clients healthy to have the most enjoyable experience in Alaska.
If you have any questions, you know where to find us. We look forward to hearing from you and hope to travel (for many of you, again!) together very soon.
UPDATE June 3rd 2020:
Hello fellow travelers,
It is with great disappointment and thorough consideration that we will be canceling the full season for Infinite Adventures. We have deliberated over the past few months how we can effectively limit exposure and spread while traveling on our trips. Although things are opening back up, we feel that the style of our small group adventures with group hiking, Kenai wildlife cruises, Denali shuttle buses, a multitude of public spaces and cooking/eating as a group creates a difficult atmosphere to prevent exposure and potential spreading within our groups. A typical trip has its stressors and spreading of even the most common of colds, which we can easily work through. The coronavirus creates a whole new challenge with no known treatment or vaccine to help us while we are in the wilds of Alaska.
Although this will hurt Infinite Adventures financially, we feel that the safety of ourselves and our fellow travelers is of the utmost importance. We would rather take this year to gather more data and learn better preventative measures to come back next season with a more definitive understanding of how we can most safely run our adventures. Running these adventures for our fellow travelers is such a gratifying and enjoyable experience, we don’t want to taint that experience with face masks, temperature checks, paper plates, plastic cutlery, and 72-hour test or 14-day quarantine.
If you are willing to travel with us in 2021, we will move your deposit to the date of your choice. Please be aware, there will be an increase in our 2021 prices. If you choose to cancel your 2020 trip and not rebook with us, we will honor a 100% refund.
We apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause you all, as we are itching to be adventuring again as soon as possible too. We are an international company who has to look at all the policies of each country, state and county we get our fellow travelers from. We thank you for choosing us as your supplier for your Alaskan adventure and we hope you will choose us again in 2021.
Don’t hesitate to send us questions.
Good health to you, your families, and friends.
Natalie & Dave
UPDATE May 2nd 2020:
We have been debating daily whether it is safe and feasible to run ours trip over the past weeks. Obviously, we would love to meet you and have the opportunity to show our guests the beauty of Alaska, but we want everyone to be safe.
Today, we finally made the difficult decision to cancel the departure dates of June 27th (Salmon Run & Kenai Adventures) and July 5th (Denali Expedition). We understand that our guests are disappointed as we are to cancel these trips in addition to our earlier dates. With borders still being shut, the lack of information when/if international travel will actually be possible, Alaska having a mandatory 2 week quarantine and no medication available to successfully treat COVID-19, we believe it will be too difficult to run the trip while keeping everyone in good health. With the departures dates less than two months away, we also understand that our guests need to plan ahead – and unfortunately with the current data base/information out there we cannot guarantee to run the tour. Especially as this is a group tour with international travelers sharing a confined space, preparing meals together and so forth.
We have contacted all our guests with the option of either to reschedule for a later trip in the season or 2021 or receive a full refund.
Message from April 2nd 2020:
Hello Fellow Travelers,
As we all are experiencing the difficulties of this COVID-19 outbreak, we have decided to cancel this season’s Lodging Tours along with the June 6th departure date of the Salmon Run Adventure. We are still hopeful that our July and August trips will run, but we are closely monitoring the situation in the best interest of our friends, families, and fellow travelers.
It is quite disheartening to think that the adventures we provide allowing our fellow travelers to experience the wilds of Alaska while disconnecting from the chaos of our everyday lives won’t be running this season.
Please stay positive and focus on your health (mental and physical) while we are confined to our homes.
All the best,
Natalie, Dave and Tayo
