UPDATED January 2024:
***as of 2024 we do not have a Covid Policy as such. We are still closely monitoring CDC recommendations and taking care of hygiene during our trips. We still highly recommend wearing a mask on your flight coming to Anchorage as we experienced that this is where most of our clients get sick from.***
At Infinite Adventures, we are closely monitoring government policy changes, Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, government mandates, and public health advancements and will continue to make changes as deemed necessary and appropriate to our protocols and procedures. Therefore, the information contained hereafter is subject to change at any time. Compliance with all posted Infinite Adventures policies and protocols will be required to participate in a tour and applies to all guests.
Please try your best and wear a mask around other people (especially while traveling) prior to our trip, especially on the plane. Take every precaution possible, so you don’t get sick on the trip. We advise you to get travel insurance in case you have to quarantine or have to leave the trip early if you get sick. We also do not recommend to travel with preexisting conditions that might put you at higher risk to get severely sick from Covid.
Guest Health: The health and safety of all participants is our number one priority. We highly recommend travelers being vaccinated. Our tour leaders are vaccinated. Guests who are exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID-19 while on tour are instructed to immediately notify their tour guide.
Physical Distancing: Guests will be advised to practice physical distancing by standing at least six feet away from other groups of people outside of our tour or/and wearing a mask in public. If guests aren’t vaccinated (and aren’t from the same househould), they will have to buy a single supplement to have their own tent during the entire trip.
Camping Equipment: All camping equipment will be cleaned before the tour. Guests will be assigned the same camping equipment for the duration of the tour.
Bus Our bus will be sanitized before the tour. In addition, all community spaces on the tour vehicle will be additionally sanitized by the tour guide before the tour begins and during the tour whenever possible.
Face Masks: It is recommended to bring your own hand sanitizer and face covering, and it is recommended to wear your face covering while in public (such as grocery stores, indoor spaces like visitor centers, etc). Additionally, National Parks may require face coverings at all times. We will inform you during the trip when/if it is mandatory to wear a mask.
Hand Sanitizer: Hand sanitizer will be readily available and free for guests to use throughout their tour like it always has been.
Accommodations: All hostels and campgrounds used by Infinite Adventures are following sanitation protocols and procedures. Please email us for information on how to access each facility’s procedures.
Meals: We will still provide most of our meals on/from the bus. As always, we will pay attention that while preparing and serving meals, hands and surfaces will be frequently sanitized. If/when eating out in restaurants we will encourage outdoor dining or at least staying far apart from other groups.
Activities during the tour: If/When you venture out for included or optional activities it goes without saying that you will have to adhere to all Covid-19 policies of the supplier.
Covid Testing/Getting sick with Covid:
If you become sick during your trip, we might ask you do perform a rapid antigen test. If you test positive with Covid you will have to isolate as best as you can (wear a mask around other people and move into a single tent) If possible, we will advise you to leave the trip early at your own expenses. Note that leaving the trip might not be possible before we get to a town with hotels/decent transportation. We travel through some remote locations. Whether the rest of the group can continue on the trip will be managed on a case by case basis. Our goal is to keep the trip going wherever possible unless we are required to end the trip in line with local regulations.
